Welcome! My name is Emily and I am a social worker providing therapy throughout the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. I am trained in EMDR and utilize this frequently in practice. I work mainly with individuals experiencing challenges throughout the reproductive spectrum. I have an interest and specialize in working with individuals and couples experiencing infertility as well as those using assisted reproduction to grow their family. I also believe that supporting friends and family of those struggling with infertility is important and can be complex and confusing at times.

 

Formerly, through my work at a domestic/sexual violence program, I worked with individuals within the perinatal period, which is when we see an increase in violence and this is also one of the most dangerous times for those experiencing abuse. If you are feeling conflicting and confusing thoughts this is normal within this context. I would be happy to work through these feelings and situations with you, while keeping your safety at the center of our work together.

 

It is important to me that going towards a difficult experience, memory, or symptom is always your choice. We will pace our time together so that we both stay safe and regulated. I am so happy you are exploring the idea of self-care and support.
