Hi! My name is Samantha, and I’m happy you’re here. I am a clinical intern at The Life Workshop and am working towards my Master’s in Social Work, with a concentration in medical social work, at Simmons University.

With years of experience in behavioral health, I have had the privilege of working alongside children, adolescents, young adults, adults, and older adults across various settings. Much of my work thus far has been with individuals experiencing suicidal ideation, mood and anxiety concerns, and substance use challenges. My work in an inpatient psychiatry unit as a Mental Health Counselor and Group Facilitator at a partial hospitalization program has strengthened my person-centered, strengths-based, and evidence-informed approach to clinical practice.

Much of my clinical work aligns with my values of accessible and dignified care, equality, empathy, and self-determination. I strongly believe that every individual is inherently deserving of support, a safe space, resources, and affirming therapeutic services that honor lived experiences and support well-being. I view therapy as a cultivated, shared space where you can be your authentic self, and together, we can make meaning of the complex and dynamic moments that make up the journey we call life.

My passion for perinatal mental health stems from my deep appreciation for the unique experiences that often come with pregnancy, birth, and parenthood. I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity to grow alongside my clients and learn from each person I have the privilege of working with during this time in my career.
