Hello there! I’m Kelsie, a clinical intern at The Life Workshop, currently completing the final year of my Master of Social Work degree at Springfield College.
With a background in psychology and experience in early childhood education, the nonprofit sector, and family engagement, I’ve worked alongside children, adolescents, and families from diverse cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds. My work centers on supporting families as they navigate developmental, behavioral, emotional, and social concerns, while connecting them with resources that promote family wellbeing.
My passion for mental health is also personal. During adolescence and into adulthood, I navigated my mental health within my own cultural identity, alongside my work in diversity, equity, and inclusion, has shaped my commitment to culturally responsive and accessible care. I strive to create a space where clients feel seen, respected, and empowered to better understand themselves and their experiences.
I have a particular interest in perinatal mental health and family wellbeing. As a parent who personally benefited from compassionate, evidence-based perinatal care, I understand the value of having support during such a significant transition. These experiences, along with my professional work with families, continue to shape my clinical perspective and my commitment to meeting each client with curiosity, empathy, and respect for their individual needs.
I believe therapy is a collaborative process grounded in each client’s unique story. I am honored to learn alongside my clients during this stage of my clinical training and to create space for growth, healing, and empowerment.
