Welcome! I'm Jen Walts, a clinical intern at The Life Workshop, currently pursuing my second Master’s degree through Springfield College's social work graduate program.

I bring a decade of teaching experience alongside my work as a community birth doula, offering a unique lens to support prenatal and postpartum individuals. I am especially passionate about reproductive justice, relational health, individual and family wellbeing, and the first five years of parenting. I'm eager to support clients as their perinatal journey unfolds, with particular interest in working with those exploring parenting, neurodivergence, sexuality, pregnancy loss or fertility challenges, and family relational dynamics. I have experience supporting individuals and families navigating ADHD, autism, and the PDA (Pathological Demand Avoidance) profile.

My perspective is shaped by close observation of the systemic gaps within the reproductive healthcare system and the lack of community support available to new parents. My approach is neuro-affirming and client-centered, drawing on psychodynamic theory, mindfulness-based cognitive therapy, attachment theory, and the neurosequential model.

I aim to cocreate a space where clients feel supported through the toughest challenges — and celebrated for the small victories, presence, and growth along the way.
