ACCEPTING NEW CLIENTS IN MASSACHUSETTS AND CONNECTICUT
CONTACT FOR REDUCED RATES FOR SERVICES
Hello, my name is Julia Bemis and I am a clinical intern at The Life Workshop, currently
pursuing my Master’s in Social Work at Simmons University. I bring two years of experience
working with individuals navigating eating disorders, which often overlap with reproductive
health concerns.
I am especially passionate about reproductive justice and understanding how systems of
oppression shape people’s reproductive experiences. My perspective is rooted in a Black
feminist lens that guides how I approach this work and support clients through their unique
journeys.
I believe that clients are the experts on their own lives. In our work together, I focus on
helping people build on their strengths, cultivate resilience, and move toward their goals. My
approach draws from cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, mindfulness-
based cognitive therapy, and motivational interviewing, while always tailoring treatment to fit
each client’s needs.
Above all, I strive to create a safe and collaborative space where healing and growth can
take place.
